QLM Search are partnering with a private investment group that is actively building a platform within the North American spirits industry.

The group has made significant investments across production and supply capabilities and is now seeking a VP Sales - Distilling Solutions to drive growth, develop strategic partnerships, and expand its presence across the market.

This is a high-impact role focused on building and scaling a B2B commercial platform within the spirits sector.

You will be responsible for shaping and executing the commercial growth strategy, driving revenue across bulk liquids, aged inventory, and contract production, while developing long-term partnerships with customers across the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the commercial growth strategy, with full accountability for revenue generation and pipeline delivery
  • Originate and convert new business opportunities, leveraging an established network to drive customer acquisition across independent brands, established producers, and multinational spirits companies
  • Structure and negotiate complex, long-term supply and partnership agreements, including multi-year contracts, volume commitments, and inventory allocation strategies
  • Build and manage senior-level customer relationships, positioning the business as a trusted partner for bulk supply, contract production, and tailored commercial solutions
  • Drive the commercialisation of aged inventory and production capacity, balancing short-term revenue opportunities with long-term value creation
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, production, supply chain, and finance to ensure commercial activity is aligned with capacity planning, inventory strategy, and margin objectives
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, including supply-demand trends, pricing, and competitive activity, translating insights into actionable strategies
  • Represent the business across industry events, trade forums, and customer engagements, strengthening market presence and generating new opportunities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team, driving accountability across pipeline development, deal conversion, and revenue delivery
  • Implement disciplined sales processes, forecasting, and performance management to ensure consistent delivery against targets
Minimum Qualifications

We are seeking a hands-on business builder with:

  • 10+ years’ experience in B2B sales / business development / strategic accounts
  • A strong track record of closing complex, long-cycle commercial agreements
  • An established network across the spirits industry
  • Experience in:
  • Spirits / alcohol (preferred)
  • OR contract manufacturing, ingredients, or bulk liquids

You will be commercially driven, relationship-led, and comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels, with the ability to convert relationships into tangible commercial outcomes.
